Mountain Real Estate Capital’s Distressed Real Estate Opportunity Fund has over $1 billion available to purchase or joint venture discounted distressed opportunities, both individually or as a portfolio, including:

  • Entity restructures or purchases
  • Non-performing loan portfolios (NPLs)
  • Improved lot or parcel inventories
  • Fractured condos
  • Non-performing commercial projects
  • Partially constructed commercial projects

For projects currently in workout, Mountain Real Estate Capital will work with the existing borrower and lender to restructure the transaction for everyone's benefit. In situations where the lender would prefer to not sell its entire note at a discount, Mountain can propose structures whereby we will contribute new equity needed to jump-start or complete the project, in return for a right-sizing of the note and a restructuring of the ownership.
