Joel Kaul is Managing Director and responsible for the origination of real estate investments with builder/developer partners on behalf of MREC. Mr. Kaul, also sits on MREC’s Investment Committee and is one of the company's management partners. Mr. Kaul previously served as Managing Director for GMAC-RFC where he was as a construction loan officer and ultimately managed the disposition of over $2 billion of assets. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer of Naterra Land, one of the country’s largest recreational land development companies. Previously, Mr. Kaul was a Senior Vice President at RBC Dain Rauscher responsible for managing a $500 million commercial portfolio. Mr. Kaul is a CPA and graduated from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse.
